ISPOR Europe 2022

In November, Costello Medical were delighted to send a team of 13 colleagues to attend ISPOR Europe 2022 in Vienna, Austria. The conference adopted a hybrid approach, with a full programme of live in-person sessions, many of which were also available to view online. We thoroughly enjoyed the conference and were delighted to be able to contribute to the programme of ISPOR sessions via an Issue Panel entitled ‘Same Evidence, Different Decisions: Factors Driving Heterogeneity Between European and US Reimbursement Decisions for Gene Therapies’, moderated by our UK Head of Rare Diseases, Kate Hanman. Alongside this, Costello Medical also presented six research posters at the conference and had a booth within the exhibition hall.

The tagline of this year’s conference was ‘Collaborating Across Borders: Building & Using Evidence to Enable Access’, with multiple plenary sessions and breakout sessions focusing on various collaborative efforts such as the upcoming Regulation on Health Technology Assessment (HTAR) and DARWIN EU. Continuing from recent ISPOR conferences, discussions around real-world evidence (RWE) and patient voice also featured heavily at this year’s conference.
